Outdoor Cleaning Projects You Can - and Should - Do In Winter

Before you tackle any task, make sure the weather is safe. We are going to state the obvious: don’t pick the day when it’s unusually cold or when there are flurries falling from the sky. That said, in North Carolina, the weather is often great for outdoor projects, including pressure washing. It’s not too cold; still, pick the warmest part of the day, and the warmest days of the week. If you do, you’re good to go!

Use pressure washing to:

  • Clean the salt from your vehicle, walkways, driveway, and other surfaces. Road crews treat slippery roads with ice. It can be a real lifesaver. But it can also be a real destructive force, particularly for your vehicle and other surfaces such as pathways. Clean the salt away to prevent corrosion, rust, and other damage.
  • Give your driveway, paths, and patio pavers a wash. You may not be using your outdoor areas as much in winter, but it helps boost your curb appeal and extend the longevity of your surfaces if you give them a good pressure wash once in a while.
  • Clean your wood fences, decks, and docks. See above!
  • Clean the grit and grime from your siding. Sand, salt, dirt, and other grime accumulates on siding, and it can age your home dramatically. Our team will clear it away for you!

Mobile Magic doesn’t take the cold months off! We are still here to help you get your outdoor cleaning chores done using safe, effective, and weather-appropriate techniques.
